Dam repairs limit access to state wildlife area at Blue Lake

Access to Adobe Creek Reservoir State Wildlife Area and Blue Lake State Trust Land southwest of Haswell will be severely limited until May 2019 due to repairs being made to the dam by its private owners.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife was informed of the road closure Tuesday by W.W. Wheeler and Associates, the engineering firm overseeing dam repairs at Adobe Creek Reservoir, which is also known as Blue Lake.

Movie Review: Night School

“Night School” is the latest vehicle for Kevin Hart, who stars alongside red-hot comedic actress Tiffany Haddish. Haddish hasn’t yet worn out her welcome with me, but Hart certainly has. I can’t remember the last time I saw him in a live-action role where he wasn’t insufferable. Part of the problem is that he’s one of those actors who’s constantly allowed to improvise his own dialogue, which means he gets to riff and ramble until he decides the scene is over. The result is usually a plodding, painful, unfunny film.

Mark Hillman’s Capitol Review: Polis’ Health Care Plan Doesn’t Add Up

Like so many Bernie Sanders Democrats, governor candidate Jared Polis keeps making promises about health care that aren’t backed up basic math. Recall that the Boulder congressman wants to put all Coloradans on Medicare, except that wealthy Coloradans (like Polis) can always buy their way into a better, private system.

This is the mantra that today animates the progressive/socialist wing of the Democratic Party. Never mind that Canada, where government provides “health care for all,” just set a new record for longest delays as sick patients die while waiting for treatment.
