I know it has been a month, but that doesn’t mean we have not been busy. You may think it is a slow time of year for 4-H and the Extension office, which is somewhat true. This is the time of year that we are busy planning and getting ready for our fast-paced time of year.

The Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District gives notice that applications for appointment of Directors of the Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District will be accepted by the Court which appoints the Directors of the Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District, from now until March 17, 2020, which is 30 days prior to April 16, 2020, the expiration date of five of the present Directors’ terms.
The Colorado House on Tuesday passed legislation to allow state workers to collectively bargain.
House Bill 1153, called the Colorado Partnership for Quality Jobs and Services Act, now moves to the state Senate, where Democrats also have a majority and are expected to pass the bill.
HB 1153 passed on third reading Tuesday in a 41-23 vote. The legislation passed a second reading on Friday after numerous proposed amendments by House Republicans failed to pass.
