Dud was out rambling around the other day, and was surprised to find the new preacher sitting beside an irrigation ditch. Dud plopped down and asked him what was wrong.
“I’ve only been here two weeks,” he said, “and someone’s stolen my bicycle. I really liked that bike.”
“Reverend,” said Dud, “everyone in this town knows everyone else, and thievery is almost unheard of. I wouldn’t take this personally as something against you, but I do have a suggestion.”
The preacher looked at Dud.
Update: Power was restored at 8:55 p.m. Saturday.

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue has announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will take several actions to assist farmers in response to trade damage from retaliatory tariffs.
U.S. President Donald Trump directed Secretary Perdue to develop a short-term relief strategy to protect agricultural producers while the Administration works on reciprocal trade deals to open more markets to help American farmers compete globally.

The National Weather Service is predicting thunderstorms producing up to two-inch hail and wind gusts up to 70 mph for parts of the region Saturday afternoon.
While the risk for tornadoes is low, the Pueblo NWS office calls out Kiowa and Prowers counties in southeast Colorado as being at risk for isolated tornadoes.
If your power goes out, knowing what to do with the food in your refrigerator and freezer can help you stay healthy. The last thing you need after a weather emergency is a case of food poisoning!
