Governor orders flags lowered to honor victims of Thousand Oaks shooting
Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings statewide until sunset November 10, 2018, in honor of the victims of the Thousand Oaks shooting, and as proclaimed by President Donald Trump.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife will honor all veterans and active-duty members of the U.S. military, military reserve and National Guard on Veterans Day, November 11, with free admission to any of Colorado’s 41 state parks.
It’s CPW’s way of saying "thank you" by giving our veterans and active-duty military a chance to unwind and enjoy the wildlife and wild spaces across the state.

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and statewide law agencies collaborated to halt impaired drivers over Halloween weekend, the latest high-visibility enforcement effort as part of CDOT’s The Heat Is On campaign. From October 26 through November 1, officers arrested 349 drivers, a decrease from the 375 citations last year.

The Colorado Department of Agriculture’s, State Veterinarian’s Office, has been notified that a third Colorado horse has tested positive for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA). The investigation is ongoing but appears to be unrelated to the prior two cases of EIA in Colorado this year. After initial test results were received, confirmatory testing was completed at the National Veterinary Services Laboratory (NVSL) in Ames, Iowa, November 2, 2018.
