Flags Lowered to Honor Firefighter Dan Moran
Colorado Governor Jared Polis has ordered flags lowered to half-staff on all public buildings statewide from sunrise to sunset Monday, February 17, 2020, to honor the passing of West Metro Firefighter and Paramedic Dan Moran.
Moran passed away last week at the age of 50 after a battle with cancer. Moran’s passing is considered a line-of-duty death as the illness was job-related.
He is survived by his wife Jenn, and two daughters, Taylor and Madyson.
Moran’s service will be held Monday.
Colorado expected to see ‘modest’ employment growth in first half of 2020
Employment in Colorado is expected to see continued growth in 2020, according to a quarterly economic report from the Colorado Secretary of State’s office.
That growth, however, will come at “a more modest pace” in the first two quarters of the year, said the report, released quarterly in conjunction with the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business Research Division.
