After two months of progressively worse drought conditions in Colorado, part of the state has begun to feel relief as the north central and northeast portion of the state saw a return to normal conditions.

Chuck Blasi has been selected as the next Chief Credit Officer at Farm Credit of Southern Colorado. Blasi is currently the Senior Vice President of Lending.

The Regular Meeting of the Town of Eads Board of Trustees was called to order by Mayor Shields, Tuesday January 9, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Hall. Robin Fox, Town Clerk, took roll call:

The month of February tends to turn many people’s thoughts to romance and love. The excitement and enjoyment of a new love affair stirs hearts and minds. It is exhilarating! It’s the stuff of longing, of sentimental love songs and of romantic books and movies.

Another hint of spring is in store for the weekend after a slightly cooler start Friday.

High temperatures will be in the 40s over most of the eastern plains of Colorado Friday, though La Junta and Otero county may reach 50. Light overnight snow will mostly dissipate by early morning, with clouds lingering later into the morning. Look for wind gusts around 30 miles per hour continuing through the day into Friday night.

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has ordered flags lowered to half-staff on all public buildings until sunset February 19 to honor the victims of the attack at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., and as proclaimed by President Donald Trump.

If it was easy, everyone would do it!! Wrestling is not for the weak at heart and you must wear your guts on your shirtsleeves, you must give 110% to be satisfied with your performance and you must know that at the end of every match there is only one hand that gets raise.  The performance the County Line Rivals put on this weekend at Regionals was exceptional.  Each of these fine athletes came together and managed to pull off the Regional Championship in the Class 2A Region 2 tournament held in Sanford this past weekend.
