Along with other western states in cooperation with the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, Colorado Parks & Wildlife has conducted an east slope survey of black-tailed prairie dogs. Images collected on airplane flights in the summer of 2015 were used to map occupied habitat throughout eastern Colorado and the findings are proving positive for these prairie dwellers.
There will be a good-luck send off for Eads High School wrestlers Rhett Uhland, Chance Fowler and Trevor Randel Wednesday, February 15, at noon.
The trio is headed to the state wrestling tournament.
Well-wishers can gather at the bus barn to show support and wish the wrestlers good luck.

Congressman Ken Buck has announced the 2017 Congressional Art Competition for the Fourth Congressional District. The theme this year is “America the Beautiful.” High school students from the Fourth District are encouraged to submit an original work of art for the contest. Submitted works will be displayed during the month of April at Centennial Park Library in Greeley as part of the exhibition. On April 14, the winners of the competition will be announced at an awards ceremony, also held at Centennial Park Library. The winning work will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year.
