Record of Decision allows Colorado Department of Transportation to move forward with project and commitments to local communities
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has approved the reconstruction of Interstate 70 through central Denver, concluding a 14-year unprecedented outreach and community engagement process.
Prowers and Otero Counties will be hosting free legal self-help clinics via computer link for people without attorneys. Volunteer attorneys provide one-on-one assistance.
Otero County's clinics are offered on the second Wednesday of the month and is hosted by the Woodruff Memorial Library, located at 522 Colorado Avenue in La Junta. The next clinic is scheduled for February 8. Call 719-384-4612 to sign up for an appointment, which is be scheduled between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.

I’m writing this a little over a week before the Oscar nominations are announced, and there are three movies that I can safely say are a lock for Best Picture: “Moonlight,” “Manchester by the Sea,” and “La La Land.” And of these three, “La La Land” is by far the most likely to win. Simply put, it’s the biggest spectacle. It’s the flashiest, with gimmicky goodies around every corner; goodies like bright colors and trick camera work and of course, musical numbers.

While a limited number of copies continue to be printed and distributed each week at Kiowa Healthmart, COOP C-Store in Eads, Haswell Propane, and Thunderbird Petroleum, we wanted to bring this feature to our online readers as well.
