1,486 Arrested During 2015 Enforcement Period

Starting Friday, September 16, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and law enforcement agencies from across Colorado are combining efforts for The Heat Is On campaign’s Fall Festivals DUI enforcement. Last year, 1,486 impaired drivers were arrested over the five-week enforcement period. The increased DUI enforcement runs through Oct. 24 with additional patrols, checkpoints and extra officers on duty looking for impaired drivers.

• USDA  Rod Johnson: American Agriculture Stand Tall! The tragedy of September 11 has reach to every corner of the earth and virtually everyone has  some direct connection to the atrocity. FSA has been notified that John Ogonowski, an FSA County Committee member for 16 years in Massachusetts, was a pilot on one of the American Airlines Flights that struck the American Trade Center .

(October 24, 1927 - September 9, 2016) 
Ruby Lucille Ermel, 88, died September 9, 2016. Ruby was born October 24, 1927, to William and Josephine Anna (Christiansen) Burhenn on a farm near Ellinwood, Kansas. She was welcomed to the home by four half-brothers, Clarence, Frank, Ralph, and Clinton (Shorty); two brothers, Marvin and George and a sister, Pearl.

Cecil Elmer Brown was born in Kit Carson, CO on August 15, 1931 and went to be with his Lord on September 3, 2016.

Cecil was the son of Cecil D. and Margaret E. Watkins Brown.

Cecil was retired from the United States Air Force where he served of 20 years. His civilian life was spent as a technical trainer for over 20 years where he was able to travel to different parts of the world. After retiring from being a technical trainer he enjoyed being a member of his Legion Post #99.

Mobile Games.  Described by Google as “games designed for mobile devices, such as smartphones, feature phones, pocket PCs, personal digital devices (PDA), tablet PCs and portable media players”.  There are literally thousands of them.

I rarely play games on my phone, because to me most of them are just stupid.  In the immortal words of Forrest Gump’s momma, “Stupid is as stupid does”.  Well, I’ve joined the ranks.
