Showers and thunderstorms – some strong to severe – are possible Friday afternoon before cooler temperatures settle in for the coming week.
Friday’s high will be near 90 ahead of the storm potential that picks up after 5:00 p.m. Large hail may accompany the stronger storms.
After school kids program started 9-19-16 and then every following Monday. Someone will be at the school to walk over any kids that want to walk and we are finished at 5:30pm and also give them a snack. From vast wheat fields on the eastern plains and cattle grazing on lush mountain pastures to plump fruit in Western Slope orchards and chile peppers basking in the Pueblo sun, Colorado’s agricultural landscape is endless. It’s time to capture the “spirit” of Colorado agriculture through photographs. The 19th annual “Colorado…it’s AgriCultural” photography contest is seeking entries as a way to celebrate the state’s agricultural heritage.
In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, national parks all over the country are inviting Americans to come and experience the contributions of Hispanic Americans to our national history. With this in mind, Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site (NHS) will be presenting a free program commemorating Hispanic participation in the Sand Creek Massacre.

Sippy Cups. Described by me as “An integral part of baby raising.” Trudy and I were discussing this very thing last week in the Post Office. When our kids were babies, sippy cups were pretty primitive. Just your basic funny looking plastic cups with two handles. Several different colors, but nothing to write home to Grandma about, except for the fact that they couldn’t tip them over.
