Emma Marie DeBusk, a life-long southeast Colorado resident, departed this life on
September 12, 2016, from the effects of dementia. She died at her daughter's home in
Granada, CO, with her family by her side.

A shortwave tough moving through the state Saturday, combined with available moisture, brings the potential for severe storms over the eastern plains during the afternoon.
The system could produce a mix of severe weather, including damaging winds and large hail.
Friday starts out sunny, with a high in the mid-70s ahead of low 80s Saturday and upper 80s Sunday into Wednesday.
Congressman Ken Buck voted for H.R. 5351, legislation he co-sponsored, that prohibits the transfer of any individual detained at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba detention facility until the end of the year or until the enactment of the National Defense Authorization Act for 2017. The bill prevents President Obama from transferring the remaining detainees as part of his plan to permanently shut down the military detention facility, ensuring that no terrorists are transferred to the United States or any other holding facility in the world.

Tree owners often feel compelled to spray, prune or apply something to their trees and landscape plants on a regular basis. But, unless there is a specific reason to spray, prune or apply things to landscape trees, the best thing to "do" to keep your trees healthy is apply a layer of composted mulch.
