ORDINANCE NO. 402
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING RATES AND CHARGES FOR WATER, SANITATION, AND SEWER IN THE TOWN OF EADS, COLORADO, REPEALING ALL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF EADS, STATE OF COLORADO, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. WATER RATES. Effective January 1, 2017, the water rates shall be established as follows:
The following vouchers were paid at the Regular Meetings held on November 15, 2016 and November 22, 2016 to be paid out of 2016 Budget to wit:

Applications Must be received by Friday, February 17, 2016
Producers in Colorado who are interested in implementing conservation practices to improve natural resources on their private agricultural land have until Friday, February 17, 2016, to submit applications for FY 2017 funding through the Natural Resources Conservation Service’s (NRCS) Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). Eligible applications that are received after February 17th will be considered during a later time and will be processed throughout the fiscal year as needed.
The regular Kiowa County Commissioners meeting was called to order on November 15, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Richard Scott. Oswald opened the meeting with prayer and Pledge of Allegiance. Those in attendance:

McLoud moved and Oswald seconded the motion to accept the minutes as presented. All Commissioners voted Affirmative.
Fanny Murdock Giving Trees, tradition started years ago, will be put up around the county. Trees will be located at the Towner Senior Center, the Sheridan Lake Post Office, Eads, Post Office and the Kiowa County National Bank in Eads

Despite recent snow storms, drought conditions in Colorado have remained largely unchanged over the past few weeks, with nearly all the state in some level of dryness.
With the continued exception of northeast Moffat County, all of western Colorado is considered abnormally dry, the lowest level of drought.

CSP applications must be received by February 3, 2017 for funding consideration.
The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is currently accepting applications for its improved Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP). Applications must be submitted to the local Field Offices by close of business on February 3, 2017.
The 11th annual Holly Junior High School Wildcat Pride Basketball Tournament has been set for Saturday, January 7. Games are set to begin at 8:30 a.m.
In the first round, the Eads girls will face Holly in match-up taking place in Shanner (old) gymnasium. Boys from both schools will face off at the same time in the high school gymnasium.
McClave and Walsh’s girls face off in the high school gym at 9:45 a.m., while the boys from both schools meet in the high school gym.
