The Regular Meeting of the Town of Eads Board of Trustees was called to order by Mayor Shields, Tuesday February 13, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Hall. Robin Fox, Town Clerk, took roll call:

Mayor – Joe D. Shields- present Trustees – Present – Justin McLoud, Kathy McCracken, Terry Riley, Lisa Trigilio, and Priscilla Waggoner Absent – Dennis Pearson

Town Clerk- Robin Fox –Present Assistant Clerk- Shealynn McCracken-Present  Director of Public Works- Van Brown- Absent (Paul Kelley-Present)

Farm Credit of Southern Colorado (FCSC), a rural lending cooperative serving southern Colorado, will distribute a $3.75 million cash patronage to its customer owners.

Nearly $33 million has been returned to stockholders over the last 10 years.

As a Farm Credit of Southern Colorado borrower, customers become a member of a cooperative – a business that is owned and controlled by those who use its services. As a cooperative, FCSC can return a portion of its profits to its members, the owners, in the form of a patronage refund.

4-H Council and Prairie Queen Club members Emily Nelson, Molly Stolzenberger, and Chase Stolzenberger attended the 2018 District Retreat in Divide, CO on March 16-18.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Town of Eads, Kiowa County, Colorado, that at the close of business on the nineteenth day before the election, there were not more candidates than offices to be filled at such election, including candidates filing affidavits of intent to be write in candidates; therefore, the election to be held on April 3, 2018 is hereby cancelled pursuant to Article 31-10-507, C.R.S.

The Kiowa County Commissioners Regular meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Richard Scott on February 22, 2018. Oswald opened the meeting with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Those in Attendance were:

McLoud moved and Oswald seconded the motion to accept the minutes as presented. Motion carried.

Oswald moved and McLoud seconded to approve the vouchers as presented. Motion carried.
