ASCS Director, Rod Johnson reported over half of the approximately 900 individual farms in the county applied for 1975 disaster payments for at least one crop under the wheat and feed grain program.

Big auto race is being planned between G.W. France 140 Ford and 250 horse Buick owned by H.A. Long. “Doc” King will man the Buick while Sunday will be at the wheel of the Ford. The Race will take place south of town at the athletic park. Odds 2 to 1 on the Ford. Exact date to be given later
