Almost a year into the pandemic, supply shortages remain so severe that nurse Kristen Cline reuses her N95 for several shifts while her hospital buckles, patients suffer and folks nearby socialize maskless as if the pandemic were already over.

You find yourself in an airport or hotel room in another country, and you really need to charge your phone, camera or game system. But what is that strange-looking outlet? It has round holes! And there are two? Or three? What’s going on here? Why doesn’t this country use the same plugs that I use back home?

Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site Welcomes New Lead Ranger 

Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site would like to welcome our newest Lead Park Ranger, Kim Wentland.  Kim joined our team in September 2020.  Kim was born and raised in Wisconsin and even though she has lived a lot of places, Wisconsin still has a special place in her heart and she’s happy to call it her home state. Kim grew up enjoying the outdoors and being surrounded by nature.

The Kiowa County Department of Social Services and the Eads Salvation Army unit would like to thank everyone that so generously donated time, money, and gifts to the 2020 Annual Christmas Drive that made Christmas a little brighter for numerous Kiowa County needy families.
