Dorene Nadine Bogenhagen was born April 29, 1928, in Weskan, Kansas, the oldest child of Lawrence and Melba Shriver Oglesby.
Dorene moved to Cheyenne Wells when she was just six years old and completed all of her public education in the Cheyenne Wells School system, graduating from high school in Cheyenne Wells in 1946.

Lois M. Springer, 92, of La Junta passed away June 14, 2020, at the Sangre de Cristo Hospice House in Pueblo.
Lois was born February 7, 1928, in McLean, Texas, and moved to Colorado two years later. Her parents, Vera and Douglas Christopher, moved about one mile north of Bristol and remained there until she was about 14 years old. Then they moved to Granada until her marriage to Wilbur Springer in 1947.
