The regular meeting of the Kiowa County Commissioners was called to order by Chairman, Richard Scott at 9:07 am on January 28, 2016. Commissioner Oswald opened with a prayer and Pledge of Allegiance. Those in attendance were:

A celebration of Colorado’s ag producers and agribusinesses is set for Wednesday, March 16, at the Capitol Building in Denver.
Producers know their costs of producing crops and livestock continue to be high while market prices are going down. As profits decrease or there are losses, producers may have difficulty securing operating loans or have to take money from the savings they accumulated over the past few years of good prices. What are they to do?
Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper ordered flags be lowered to half-staff on Monday, Feb. 15, on all public buildings statewide in memory of Mesa County Deputy Sheriff Derek Geer. Flags should be lowered from sunrise to sunset.

Irma Krehbiel was so blessed to celebrate her 96th birthday with all your help. The decorations and cherry pie with ice cream were just the right thing to put a big smile on her face.
She was touched by the outpouring of love and cards she received from Eads community, friends and family. Thank you also to the friends who ventured out into the snow to attend the festivities.
