Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper issued a brief statement on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) decision against reimbursing private businesses and individuals for claims of damages from the Gold King Mine spill:

Hello everyone! For those of you that don’t know, my name is Jeramy McNeely and I am the new Kiowa County Extension Agent. You might remember me from a few years ago when I was the 4-H Agent for both Cheyenne and Kiowa Counties. After a hiatus of playing music and working on the Jolly Ranch north of Kit Carson, I have landed the opportunity to come back to the world
Beginning Monday, January 16, Praise Community Church in Eads will re-introduce its Monday after-school program.
Church representatives will be at the school by 4:00 p.m. Mondays to escort participating children to the service, which will conclude by 5:30 p.m.

Colorado produces a wide variety of specialty crops, from peaches and apples to chiles and hops. To help develop and promote the state’s specialty crops, the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) is seeking proposals for the Specialty Crops Block Grant Program. Specialty crops are defined as fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, and nursery crops including floriculture and sod.
Legislation makes water more affordable for rural Colorado
With snow storms continuing to impact the state throughout the long winter season, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) reminds all property owners, renters and private snow removal operators that it is against the law to deposit snow onto or next to a public highway.
