As calving season comes into full swing, there have been some reports of calves being stillborn, aborted, blind, or very weak due to Vitamin A deficiencies. Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that cows obtain from green grass or good quality hay. NOTICE OF ELECTION
POLLING PLACE
Unaffiliated voters across Colorado may soon receive ballots for both the Republican and Democrat parties for the June primary election.
Proposition 108, passed by Colorado voters in 2016, allows voters who have not opted to affiliate with either of the two major political parties to vote in either – but not both – primary elections later this year. In the past, unaffiliated voters were required to join one of the parties in order to vote in the primary, though they had the option to return to unaffiliated status or switch to another party following the election.
Maybe you want to learn how to bag your next Thanksgiving turkey. Or perhaps you need a refresher course so your skills are sharp when spring turkey season opens April 14.
Then sign up now for Turkey Hunting 101, a Colorado Parks and Wildlife class scheduled for 6:00 p.m., Monday, April 9, at the Lake Pueblo State Park auditorium.
District Wildlife Manager Gretchen Holschuh is hosting the free, three-hour class, which is open to everyone from novice to experienced hunters.
