Public Forum to Question LCC Vice President Candidates

With the retirement of Vice President Cheryl Sanchez, Lamar Community College will be hosting finalists for the position of Vice President of Academic and Student Services January 18-19.

LCC President Linda Lujan stated, “I am very grateful for VP Sanchez’s dedicated service and look forward to finding just the right individual to replace her. The screening committee was quite pleased with the large and competitive pool of applicants and spent considerable time throughout the search process working to identify strong finalists.”

60s and 70s for Eastern Colorado by Tuesday - Another System Rolls in Wednesday

Mountain areas of Colorado, particularly the western half of the state, will continue to see wintery conditions through midday Sunday. The plains will remain largely dry, with above-average temperatures.

Eastern Plains

Snow clears out of the eastern mountains by midday, though roads may remain slick. The plains remain relatively warm Sunday, with highs in the upper 40s for the northeast, and low 50s for the southeastern part of the state. A north wind in the 15 to 25 miles per hour range will continue for a few hours as a front pushes through.

There’s nothing like New Year’s Resolution to make a guy feel completely inadequate, thought Doc as he sat and sipped coffee at the philosophy counter

He happened to mention this to Steve, sitting on his left. Steve shoved his hat back and looked at his dear friend.

“Now Doc,” he said, “I don’t think you should talk that way. You see, the guys and I think you’re about the most adequate fella we know. Why, some of us are still here because of your adequacy. I know I am.”

Sportsmen’s Caucus Scheduled to Discuss Colorado Parks Sustainability

As the 2018 legislative session looms, Colorado Parks and Wildlife is calling on hunters, anglers, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who wants a voice in wildlife issues to attend a Southeast Region Sportsmen’s Caucus, scheduled for 6:00 p.m. January 23.

The caucus will convene in the auditorium of the Visitor Center at Lake Pueblo State Park, 640 Pueblo Reservoir Road. It is expected to end by 8:00 p.m.
