The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) is reminding Colorado farmers and ranchers that the window is closing on the opportunity to participate in the 2017 Census of Agriculture. To date, NASS has received more than 1.5 million completed questionnaires, 33,176 of which are from Colorado, but both the national and Colorado return rates are currently lower than at this point in the 2012 Census.

May 5, the Rocky Mountain Conservancy’s Field Institute Program is offering a brand-new course titled “Leave No Trace: Awareness & Principles.”  This full day course is designed for friend groups, volunteers, outdoor enthusiasts, and other public land stewards.

Right off the bat you should know whether or not this is a movie you want to see. But if you still haven’t made up your mind, consider this: there are no fewer than three scenes where Johnson steals an empty helicopter. Is that a movie you want to see, one where The Rock steals three empty helicopters?

Charlotte M. Phillips

September 19, 1940 - April 21, 2018

Funeral services for Charlotte Phillips will be held Friday, April 27, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Praise Community Church in Eads.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Praise Community Church.

Mrs. Phillips passed away unexpectedly at Parkview Hospital in Pueblo.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Praise Community Church or the Eads Senior Citizens Center.
