Secretary Williams Says Colorado Works to Prevent Fraud
Secretary of State Wayne Williams has reiterated that Colorado employs important safeguards to make sure its elections are as secure as possible. The statement comes as President Donald Trump has alleged millions of fraudulent votes were cast during the November 2016 election, and has called for an investigation.

Four More Earthquakes in Colorado Mountains

Four more earthquakes, ranging in magnitude from 1.6 to 2.4 on the Richter Scale, occurred west of Snowmass Village in Colorado’s western mountains Tuesday. All were located in Gunnison County.
The area was shaken by 11 quakes over a 36-hour period between January 19 and 20. Those quakes ranged from 1.1 to 2.8 in magnitude and were located in Gunnison and Pitkin Counties.

Black beans and cooked rice are used as the base of these delicious burgers. Flavored with scallions, garlic and spices, these are sure to please the whole family.
Ingredients
1 can 15.5 ounce low-sodium black beans (drained and rinsed with cold water)
1 large egg
1⁄2 cup cooked brown rice
2 scallions (green and white minced about 1/4 cup)
2 tablespoons Chopped fresh cilantro (or basil leaves or a combination)
Crops and Livestock Expo Set for February 3

The Southeast Crops and Livestock Expo (SCALE) will be held on Friday, February 3, at the Lamar Community College Wellness Center. This event is an exciting opportunity for locals working in production agriculture for a full day of quality information that they can immediately put into practice.
SCALE is free and open to the public. The event is co-sponsored by Lamar Community College, KVAY 105.7, and the Colorado State University Extension.

Obituary - Vernon Lee Hill
(February 25, 1953 - January 20, 2017)
Vernon Lee Hill age 63 passed away at St. Marry's Hospital on January 20, 2017 following a short illness. Vernon was born February 25, 1953 in Cortez, Colorado to the late Donald & Gertrude Hill. He was employed as a janitor, Vernon was a long time member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Vernon was a very quiet and reserved person who loved spending his time watching movies, playing video games and he really loved spending time with his dog Prancer.
