BOARD MEETING-December 14, 2021

The Kiowa County Hospital District and County Board met in special session on December 14, 2021, at 5:04 pm at the Cobblestone Inn Meeting Room.

District Board members present were: Craig Kerfoot, Mary Eikner, Ken Flory, Claire Prince, and Kevin Davis.

County Board members present were: Karl Eikenberg. Absent - Pam Cole.

Others present: Betsy Barnett, Shannon Dixon, Matt Prince, and Cindy McLoud.

With up to 300 million scent receptors, dogs are among the best smell detectors in the animal world. The human nose, by comparison, contains only around 6 million scent receptors.

A bill that would reduce the state's income tax rate from 4.95% to 4.85% passed the Utah House on Wednesday by a vote of 63-12. 

Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold Thursday said that her office has concluded its investigation into a potential breach of election security protocols in the Douglas County clerk and recorder’s office. 

Prices of a range of goods and services have grown at the fastest rate in four decades, newly released inflation data show.
