Funeral services for Seth Splitter will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 28, 2018, at the Sheridan Lake Bible Church in Sheridan Lake, with burial following at the Sheridan Lake Cemetery.

• On the Museum float we saw Sis Howard washing clothes and Amy Wierich and her children, Emilee and Taylor stoking the pot belly stove.
• Eads Board of Trustees Meeting: 225 yards of concrete had been poured for the foundation of the new water tower, and over 13,000 feet of water line had been laid. The total project calls for 26,000 feet of new line including replacement of 12,000 feet of the main transmission line.

One of the great pleasures of hanging around down at the livestock auction barn each Saturday morning is being able to take your dog along.

Why do we go to the sales barn? We love agriculture, and it's part of living here to see who buys what and rejoice in their good fortune, even if our own grass is stressed to the limit by whatever varmint we're currently feeding. Or, it could be that we figure we've already lived too long, and if the right horse or cow comes through there, and we buy it, our wives will see to it that we don't suffer in agony for untold years.

Kenneth Ralph Koch of Greeley passed away September 15, 2018, in Greeley. He was born February 25, 1944, in Eads to Ralph and Ruth (Downs) Koch.

Kenneth graduated from Eads High School and Lamar Community College. He was licensed in cosmetology and an instructor at Highland Hills Beauty Academy, and owned Hair Affair by Ken in Greeley.
