Still Time to be Counted in the 2017 Census of Agriculture
Farmers and ranchers still have time to be counted in the 2017 Census of Agriculture, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). Although the first deadline has just passed, NASS will continue to accept Census information through the spring to get a complete and accurate picture of American agriculture that represents all farmers and ranchers.
Milton Rink Receives Honorary Cattlemen’s Award
Milton Rink, of Bristol, was honored during the annual Bent-Prowers Cattle & Horse Growers Association banquet April 7 at Inspiration Field in La Junta. Rink was selected as the association’s prestigious Honorary Life Member Awardrecipient.

Educational Session Kicks Off Annual Cattlemen Festivities
How do you bring profit to the cow-calf producer? Bent-Prowers Cattle & Horse Growers Association hosted an educational session April 7, 2018. The panel outlined strategies to address that profitability question. Panelists Steve Ptolemy of Best Bet Beeflot, Justin Homm of AGRI Beef, and Rick Robbins of Colorado Mills, each touched on different suggestions to aid the cow-calf segment of the beef industry.
