Weekend before last, Denis and Theresa Weber went to Denver to celebrate Mother's Day with all of their Denver children.  This past Friday, Theresa Weber went to Denver and on Saturday she and her daughter Connie Weber and the Cochran and Knutson families traveled to Fort Collins on Saturday to attend the graduation of Theresa's granddaughter, Jessica Cochran from CSU.  Congratulations Jessica !

Cora Coffman went to Granada last Monday to watch her great-grandson Weslee compete in a Junior High Track Meet.

Weather Outlook: The Week Ahead – Rain, then Warming

An approaching upper level disturbance and adequate moisture in the atmosphere will allow for the development of scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening.

Varying chances of rain and thunderstorms remain in the forecast through Thursday, with the best likelihood of precipitation expected Monday afternoon through Tuesday, where one-tenth to one-quarter inch possible each day.

Dud was down at The Lunker Hole on Lewis Creek before it even turned yellow in the east. He had some thinking to do, and, as everyone knows, there’s no better way to think than fly fishing.

And The Lunker (and it’s capitalized on purpose) is a good trout to think by. Why? Because everyone also knows you’re not going to catch him, so it gives you thinking time.

 Just about the time Dud could make out The Lunker’s rock at the head of the hole, he had gotten a tiny midge tied on some leader and sent it on its way to the general vicinity of the rock.

Governor Orders Flags Lowered for Peace Officers Memorial Day

Gov. John Hickenlooper ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings statewide on Sunday, May 15, 2016, in recognition of Peace Officers Memorial Day during Police Week 2016, and as proclaimed by President Barack Obama. Flags should be lowered from sunrise to sunset.
