National Drug Facts Week - Shatter the Myths

When teens are given the scientific facts about drugs they can be better prepared to make good decisions for themselves and they can share this information with others.  National Drug Facts Week began in 2010 by National Institute on Drug Abuse scientists to promote educational events and opportunities for teens to learn about drug use and addition.  Follow the hashtags #drugfacts or #NDAFW this week to shatter the myths surrounding drug use.

Cooking at Home - Italian Pasta Salad

Fresh and crunchy broccoli, carrot, bell pepper, and green onion, make this easy and delicious pasta salad burst with flavor!  This pasta salad would be an excellent side dish to grilled meat, fish, or tofu.

Ingredients

4 cups pasta, cooked
2 cups broccoli (blanched, pieces)
1 cup carrot (cooked, slices)
1⁄2 cup red pepper (strips)
1⁄4 cup green onion (sliced)
1⁄2 cup Italian salad dressing, light or reduced fat (can use 1/2 to 3/4 cup)

Shoreline Fishing Still Permitted in the ‘Toilet Bowl’

Fishermen will still be able to try their luck in the “Toilet Bowl” beneath Ruedi Dam on the Fryingpan River in Eagle County following a meeting that included Colorado Parks and Wildlife, City of Aspen, United States Bureau of Reclamation, Eagle County Sheriff's office and the U.S. Forest Service. While fishing from the shore will continue to be permitted, water activities such as paddle boarding and swimming are not allowed.
