Photo of the Week

One of our most popular features for nearly 17 years - a full-page color photo on the front of the Kiowa County Press showing various impressions of life in Kiowa County and across Colorado.

Copies of the print version of the Kiowa County Press can be purchased each week at Kiowa Healthmart, COOP C-Store in Eads, Haswell Propane, and Thunderbird Petroleum, our at our business office at 1208 Maine Street, Eads.

Labor Day Weekend Weather Outlook – Hot and Dry

The Labor Day weekend will be hot and dry across most of Colorado, though the eastern plains will see the first hint of fall Tuesday.

Eastern Colorado

An upper ridge building from the east Saturday will result in highs in the upper 80s to low 90s across eastern Colorado through the holiday Monday. Drier air will limit the potential for rain to mainly mountain areas where isolated afternoon and evening light rain is possible.

Northeast Colorado may see smoke in the air Saturday from fires in Montana.
