Greg Lopez, Republican candidate for Governor, will be in Eads Thursday, May 10. He will stop in at Hometown Gas and Grill from 7:30-8:45 a.m. for an informal visit and question/answer session with anyone who would like to speak with him.
He is then scheduled to be at Eads High School to visit the juniors and seniors in civics class.
I found out that a friend in Holly had passed away and was buried before I received the news. Maybe the old form of communication was better than all our modern technology. Anyway, our condolences to the family of Lonnie Hess, former Towner resident and was living in Holly when he passed away. His daughter, Lonetta, and I went to school together in Towner.
Jerry Weber got out of ICU on Saturday. Keep him in your prayers as he moves forward to recovery.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is asking the public for help identifying a man pictured on social media (photo below) standing within a few feet of an angry moose along a busy stretch of road in Frisco.
According to a witness, he and his passenger observed the man chase the moose onto the median Friday afternoon in the 900 block of 10 Mile Drive in Frisco. They were able to snap a photo of the incident as they drove past the man and the agitated animal.
