Colorado inventory of all hogs and pigs on March 1, 2018 was 770,000 head, up 3 percent from December 1, 2017 and up 10 percent from last year. Breeding inventory, at 155,000 head, was up 5,000 head from the previous quarter but unchanged from last year. Market hog inventory, at 615,000 head, was up 3 percent from last quarter and up 13 percent from last year.

Off-farm corn stocks in Arizona on March 1, 2018 were 2.50 million bushels, down 5 percent from March 1, 2017, according to the March 1 Agricultural Survey and March Grain Stocks Report conducted by the Mountain Regional Field Office of the National Agricultural Statistics Service, USDA. Off-farm all wheat stocks in Arizona on March 1, 2018 were 4.03 million bushels, up 4 percent from March 1, 2016. Off-farm barley stocks totaled 46,000 bushels, up 171 percent from last year.
After a short reprieve following some rain and snow during the past week, fire danger is again rising for southern Colorado.
The United States Department of Agriculture has declared four southern Colorado counties to be primary natural disaster areas due to losses and damages caused by ongoing drought conditions in the area.
