LCC Offering Free Tax Filing Services to Hard-Working Families through Tax Help Colorado Program

(Lamar, Colorado; February 1, 2016)  This tax season, Lamar Community College is partnering with the Denver-based Piton Foundation to help hard-working families become more financially secure by providing free tax preparation assistance through the Tax Help Colorado program. 

Weatherization and Crisis Intervention programs ensure efficient home heating 

(DENVER) – The Low-income Energy Assistance Program’s (LEAP) primary mission of helping Coloradans pay winter home heating costs is complemented by two crucial programs: the Crisis Intervention Program (CIP) and the Weatherization Assistance Program.

DENVER —  With the recent big snowfall, Postal officials are asking residents across the area to help their carriers deliver the mail by clearing snow and ice from mailboxes and walkways,

“We’re in your neighborhood six days a week in every kind of weather, so we’re up for the challenge,” said Denver Postmaster Mark Talbott. “But we could use the help of our customers to eliminate safety concerns and help you get your mail. Since every carrier delivers to hundreds of homes and businesses, the risks are compounded with a big storm like this.”

The Eads Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016.  Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  

There are Trustee positions and the Mayor position open this election.  

Nomination petitions can be picked up February 16, 2016 at City Hall, 110 W. 13^th St., and have to be returned to City Hall by 5:00 p.m. Friday March 4, 2016.
