The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday morning that further testing by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation on the water supply in Hugo has revealed the water does not contain THC – the active chemical in marijuana. A water advisory that had been in effect since Thursday has been cancelled.

After a week of heat, southeast Colorado will start to see a slight cooling trend toward the end of the weekend, along with an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Friday and Saturday daytime temperatures will remain near 100 before dropping off to the lower 90s Sunday and into the coming week. Evening temperatures will be in the low to mid-60s.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife reminds hunters that over-the-counter licenses with caps and over-the-counter unlimited licenses are available for purchase beginning July 26 at 9 a.m.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is pleased to support the recent proposed expansion of hunting and fishing opportunities at Baca, Alamosa and Monte Vista National Wildlife Refuges in Colorado by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS).
CPW’s Director Bob Broscheid said FWS and the National Wildlife Refuge system are important partners in conserving and managing Colorado's wildlife communities.
