The family of Evelyn Garner would like to thank everyone for the encouraging words and acts of kindness.

Mom would have been very pleased with her memorial service. She pre-planned her service and arrangements. Her foresight and attention to detail greatly helped the family in a stressful time.

The compassion and professionalism of Jimmy Brown and Pastor Christine Richardson were appreciated by the family.

We will always remember the kindness shown to our mother by our hometown.

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is reminding drivers to anticipate heavy traffic in many parts of Colorado this week and over the New Year’s weekend.

To reduce potential delays, all CDOT construction projects will be suspended statewide by midday Friday, December 30.  Projects can resume their regular schedules on Tuesday, January 3.  The only exception is for emergency operations.

2 slices bread, whole wheat

2 teaspoons margarine

1⁄2 cup cheddar cheese, low-fat shredded (or jack cheese)

1⁄2 cup mayonnaise, light

Titan International has donated 80 agricultural tires to be auctioned off during the Colorado Farm Show January 26. Anyone can purchase the tires, and all proceeds benefiting the Colorado Future Farmers of America (FFA) Foundation.

Up for auction are tires for ATVs, skid steers, tractors (front and rear) and sprinklers. People can bid onsite and online during the auction, courtesy of BigIron Auctions.

The will begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Event Center in Island Grove Park in Greeley, Colorado, taking place onsite and online at www.bigiron.com. Registration starts at 11:30 a.m.

Moni Harwig, age 73, a life long resident of Colorado passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at her home surrounded by family.
