April 27th was such an important day of other happenings in Eads America! For three days, leaders from the Northern Cheyenne and Arapaho Native American Tribes from Montana, Wyoming, and Oklahoma met at the National Sand Creek Massacre site.

A late season winter storm which brought rain and snow to eastern Colorado is continuing to move into Kansas Sunday morning.
The winter storm warning which was originally in effect for all the southeast counties, remains in place for Kiowa, Crowley, Otero, Bent, Prowers, and Baca counties until 1:00 p.m. Sunday. A blizzard warning also remains in effect for eastern Cheyenne and Kit Carson counties.

Child care organizations nationwide have joined together to declare Friday, May12, to be Provider Appreciation Day to recognize family child care providers and early education teachers in preschools/centers and after school programs. It gives parents, grandparents and employers an opportunity to recognize and commend the dedication to children that child care providers demonstrate every day.
