2017 Brand Assessment Fees Due
Livestock brands are vital to protecting Colorado’s livestock industry and are an important part of the state’s history and culture. The Colorado Department of Agriculture’s Brand Inspection Division reminds brand owners that the brand assessment fee for the five-year assessment period beginning January 1, 2017 are due and must be paid by June 30, 2017.
Voluntary Recall on Certain Canned Cat Food
The J.M. Smucker Company today announced a limited voluntary recall on certain lots of 9LivesTM, EverPetTM, and Special KittyTM canned cat food due to possible low levels of thiamine (Vitamin B1).
The issue was discovered by the Quality Assurance team during review of production records at the manufacturing facility. No illnesses related to this issue have been reported to date and the product is being recalled out of an abundance of caution.

Weisbrod Hospital Auxiliary Meeting

Members of the Weisbrod Hospital Auxiliary had a heartwarming meeting on December 13th when a lady from Lamar sent a memorial check of $200.00 and when Roger Saffer came to tell us we would be receiving about $618.00 as a gift from the Eastern Slope Rural Telephone Association of which he is a board member.

Lance and Taya Jagers took their children, Cassidy and Corbin, to the Arizona Annual Goat Show at the Arizona State Fair Grounds last week where they both place in the top four in the Show.
