DUI Charges Filed

The Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office has charged 18-year-old Fredrick Turner with Driving under the Influence of Alcohol-Minor, Reckless driving, Open alcoholic beverage container and Minor in possession of alcohol. 18-year-old Patrick Hollis has been charged with minor in possession of Alcohol. These charges stem from a traffic accident that occurred when the vehicle collided with the building causing damage on July 27, 2016 at approximately 12:24 a.m., in the 100 block of 7th Street, Eads, Kiowa County, Colorado.

Obituary - Dale G. Adamson

Dale G. Adamson

A celebration of life for longtime Eads resident, Dale G. Adamson will be held from 1:00PM until 4:00PM on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Eads Community Building in Eads, Colorado.  

Per Dale’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.

Dale was born on July 25, 1943 at Chivington, Colorado to John D. and LaRue (Arnold) Adamson and passed away on July 24, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 72.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jimmy Adamson.

University of Wyoming Spring Semester Honor Roll: Colorado

The University of Wyoming lists 353 students from Colorado on the 2016 spring semester academic Dean's and Dean’s Freshman Honor Rolls.

The honor rolls consist of regularly enrolled undergraduates above freshman standing who earned a 3.4 or better grade-point average, and freshmen who have earned a 3.25 or better grade-point average.

To be eligible, students must have been enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours taken for letter grades.

SBA Introduces Online Tutorials for Small Businesses Seeking Federal R&D Funding

The U.S. Small Business Administration released its highly anticipated Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) online tutorials to help small businesses navigate the SBIR program. The site provides users with a mobile-compatible site to learn about the program through a combination of videos and text. This platform will provide accessible program information and training resources to underrepresented areas.  There is no registration or fee required and the courses are open to all.
