Town of Eads June 21 Meeting Minutes

The Special Meeting of the Town of Eads Board of Trustees was called to order by Mayor Shields, Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 4:59 p.m. in the City Hall. 

Mayor – Joe D. Shields- present

Trustees – Present –Dennis Pearson, Terry Riley, Justin McLoud and Kathy McCracken

Absent- Larry Gifford

Town Clerk- Robin Fox –Absent

The U.S. Senate approved a resolution, introduced by Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO), celebrating Colorado’s 140^th anniversary. The resolution recognizes the many different facets of Colorado, including the more than 36,000 farms, 58 fourteeners, four National Parks, and countless world class ski resorts.

Preschool & K-12

Kiowa County School District RE-1 will begin school on Thursday, August 11^th (Grades K-12).  The following items will need to please be sent with your student on the first day of school:

*First day of school, Monday, August 15^th.  Mrs. Williams will be providing you with more information concerning registration appointment times for the week prior.

Please call the Eads Medical Clinic, 438-2251, to set up an appointment for your student’s sports physical.  The sports physical appointment can be made any day or time that the clinic has available for the special rate of $20.  Reminder, physicals must be handed into the office or coaches the first week of school.  Thank you

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday morning that further testing by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation on the water supply in Hugo has revealed the water does not contain THC – the active chemical in marijuana. A water advisory that had been in effect since Thursday has been cancelled.
