Red flag warnings continue for portions of the eastern plains of Colorado Sunday, with dry and unseasonably warm temperatures expected to continue through the work week for most of the state.

Eastern Plains

Cheyenne, Kit Carson and Yuma counties are under a red flag warning until 4:00 p.m. Sunday. Northwest winds will be gusting up to 25 miles per hour, and the humidity could fall as low as eight percent, which could cause any fires that start to spread rapidly.

The Hastings College chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), a national leadership honor society, welcomed 16 new members at its annual induction ceremony in November.

To be a part of ODK, membership qualifications include being in the top 35 percent of juniors and seniors classes. ODK encourages collaboration among members across the five phases celebrated by ODK: scholarship, athletics, service, communications and arts. Students must also demonstrate exemplary character.

A minor earthquake was recorded Saturday night in Dolores county.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake was centered about a mile north of Dunton, or 37 miles northwest of Durango. It registered 3.0 on the Richter Scale, and occurred at 8:42 p.m. about one mile beneath the surface.

On person reported feeling the quake. No damages or injuries have been reported.
