Visitation for Betty Hoffman will be held Tuesday, December 11, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 335 S 1st E in Cheyenne Wells. Graveside committal services will be held Wednesday, December 19, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Cheyenne Wells.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Altar Society in Cheyenne Wells.Arrangements are under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Graveside committal services will be held Saturday, December 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the Haswell Cemetery.
Mrs. Briggs was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother. She is survived by her children, Scott (Trudy) Briggs of Haswell, and Valorie (John Davis) Briggs of Aurora; two grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother Albert (Mary) May of Lamar, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and many friends.

Ever since ol’ Windy began a career in radio, which is unusual for an old hunting guide, cowboy, and camp cook, he’s been spending more time thinking about things to say. His radio segment, called Windy’s Words of Wisdom, has given him new purpose.
Down at the sale barn the other day, he meandered around until he had several of the guys semi-cornered. You see, the only thing in life Windy Wilson can’t live without is an audience.
