Replaces Fred Lombardi, Who Retires June 30
Gregory Bloom has been named executive director of the Colorado Beef Council, effective June 1. Bloom, a 25-year beef industry veteran, replaces Fred Lombardi, who is retiring June 30 after 19 years with the organization.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the Bureau of Land Management, and the U.S. Forest Service are seeking public input on draft alternatives for the management plan revision for recreation use along the Arkansas River. The public comment period begins tomorrow and closes on June 22, 2016.

With the official start of summer just over a week away, temperatures mainly in the 90s will close out spring for southern Colorado.
A chance of thunderstorms returns to southeast Colorado Sunday as a front moves into the area, and ramps up to a potential for severe storms Monday into the evening.
