Southeast Colorado Fishing Conditions – November 29

Arkansas River Headwaters
Temperatures have dropped into the high 30-low 40 degree range. This is causing the fish to migrate over to slow, deeper runs that they will stay in for the season. The best fishing for the winter season will be in the Big Bed/Salida area and Bighorn Sheep Canyon upstream of Texas Creek. When these areas experience heavy sun exposure following warm nights, they will generate good midge activity which leads to stronger feeding periods from the fish. Best fishing times have been around noon, when the sun is the highest.

East End Events

By Sharon Scott

We hope everyone had a safe and blessed Thanksgiving Holiday.

Dick, Kyle and I had my mom, Mary Huddleston; my sister, Jerene DeBono and husband Ian; my brothers, Larry and Mike Huddleston and my nephew, Pat Huddleston for Thanksgiving dinner. We were small in number, but we had a great time remembering the good ole' days.  Sure brought back memories long forgotten.

Guests of Cheri Hopkins for Thanksgiving dinner were her daughter Christy and son Evan and his wife Jen and their children.
