The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is alerting consumers to Meridian Medical Technologies’ voluntary recall of 13 lots of Mylan’s EpiPen and EpiPen Jr (epinephrine injection) Auto-Injector products used for emergency treatment of severe allergic reactions. This recall is due to the potential that these devices may contain a defective part that may result in the devices’ failure to activate.

The National Weather Service in Pueblo provides SKYWARN weather spotter preparedness and training for citizens and emergency responders each spring as the severe weather season approaches.
A session for Kiowa County residents will be held Wednesday, April 5, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Kiowa County Courthouse, located at 1305 Goff Street in Eads. The class is a cooperative effort of local government officials and the National Weather Service. The session is free of charge and open to everyone.

Southeast Colorado benefitted from a mix of rain and snow Friday, accompanied by areas of dense fog that will continue Saturday ahead of a brief warm up. Unfortunately, amounts of rain and snow have fallen toward the low end of expectations across southeast Colorado overnight.
