Governor Issues Statement on Climate Policy Change

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper issued the following statement regarding President Donald Trump’s executive order, which was signed Tuesday, that modifies federal policies relating to climate change:

“Today’s Executive Order by the President pulling back on policies addressing climate change will not deter Colorado’s efforts. Natural gas has become more economical than coal, and Colorado is a national leader on wind and solar energy, which are a boon to our economy, jobs and the environment.

Obituary - Pamella Sue Mast

1949-2017

Graveside services for lifelong Eads, Colorado resident, Pamella “Pam” Mast will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Eads Cemetery in Eads, Colorado with L.D. Nelson officiating.  Visitation will be held from 1:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar.

Sand Creek Site Switches to Summer Schedule, Open Seven Days Per Week

The Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site will switch to its summer schedule beginning Saturday, April 1, 2017.  The park will open daily from 9 am to 4 pm, seven days a week.  This schedule will remain in effect through November 30, 2017.

The park will remain open for all three summer federal holidays – Memorial Day (May 29th), Fourth of July (July 4th), and the Labor Day (September 4th).
