As summer draws to a close, the state health department is reminding Coloradans to continue protecting themselves from mosquito bites to avoid the West Nile virus. There have been six human cases of the virus reported in Colorado far this year, and mosquito pools in multiple counties have tested positive for the virus.
Employers in Colorado added 3,600 nonfarm payroll jobs from June to July for a total of 2,648,400 jobs, according to the survey of business establishments. Private sector payroll jobs increased 100 and government increased 3,500.
PURSUANT TO CRS 30-25-111, et. seq., the following is a list of salaries paid by the Kiowa County Board of Commissioners for the month of June, 2017 as follows to-wit: HOUSE BILL 07-1187, Salary information for all county employees and officials shall be published twice annually. The first publication shall be in August and shall include each employee’s title and gross monthly salary for the prior June.

A new attraction is coming to the 2017 Colorado State Fair! The First Responder’s Alley is a combination of local and rural emergency personnel joining forces to encourage conversation and educate the community about safety and health. Throughout the Fair, these organizations will provide a variety of activities including live extrications, K9 demonstrations, and a firefighter boot camp for the kiddos!
The price for a lifetime senior National Park Service pass will be increasing Monday.
NPS has announced the price for the America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands pass will increase from $10 to $80 beginning Monday as required by legislation passed by congress in December last year. The price was last raised in 1994.
