As wildfires plagued northeast Colorado this week, many from the agriculture community are putting forth efforts to help those who have been impacted. The fires in Logan and Phillips counties had a large impact on producers, including lost livestock, damaged fields, facilities, equipment, infrastructure and homes.

St. Patrick’s Day is typically reserved for green garb, but for impaired drivers, flashing blue and red lights could ultimately be the day’s most memorable colors. To keep Colorado roads safe from impaired drivers during St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and local law enforcement agencies will conduct The Heat Is On DUI enforcement starting Friday, March 10, and ending Monday, March 20. Statewide, 88 law enforcement agencies will participate in the DUI crackdown for alcohol and drugs.

After a week of above-normal temperatures, and high fire danger across eastern Colorado, temperatures will dip heading into the weekend. A spring-like warmup returns by mid-week.

Our Extended Care Unit residents had a wonderful time at the Home Town Gas and Grill on Wednesday. They really enjoyed the food and atmosphere and to all of our surprise the meal was paid for from an anonymous community member! The staff and residents that were honored by this generous community member and truly appreciate your kindness! Thank you so much!
