Bent County Public Health has ordered McClave School District to conduct Pre-School through 12th grade learning remotely for the week of November 30-December 3.

The agency states that "Bent County cases are rising at an unprecedented rate, there are multiple outbreaks at facilities that employ the majority of people in our county, and our hospitals are overrun."

McClave School District will conduct remote learning this week, and plan to be back in person December 7.

Richard Earl Scott

October 14, 1937 – November 23, 2020

Longtime Towner resident Richard Earl “Dick” Scott passed away November 23, 2020, at the Greeley County Hospital in Tribune, Kansas, at the age of 83 due to complications related to the coronavirus. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at later date, and Dick’s cremated remains will be interred at the Towner Cemetery.

In person school will resume for all students at Wiley school district Monday, November 30.

Students in 6th-12th grade will have the option to continue with remote learning through google classroom. There will not be any Zoom type meetings. All assignments will be given through Google Classroom. If you choose remote learning you will not be able to participate in sports workouts.
