This is a hearty vegetarian soup for a filling and healthy meal on a chilly night. If you have leftovers that have been properly handled, you can add ham, chicken, or other meat for more protein.

Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site would like to welcome our newest Lead Park Ranger, Kim Wentland.  Kim joined our team in September 2020.  Kim was born and raised in Wisconsin and even though she has lived a lot of places, Wisconsin still has a special place in her heart and she’s happy to call it her home state. Kim grew up enjoying the outdoors and being surrounded by nature.

The Kiowa County Department of Social Services and the Eads Salvation Army unit would like to thank everyone that so generously donated time, money, and gifts to the 2020 Annual Christmas Drive that made Christmas a little brighter for numerous Kiowa County needy families.
