Persistent drought conditions have parched the soil over southern Colorado, stressing even irrigated lawns and larger landscape trees. During these periods of drought, homeowners should consider supplemental watering to keep their trees healthy.
To guard against the exceptionally high fire risk in the area, Mancos State Park has closed portions of the facility for hiking and camping that are adjacent to the San Juan National Forest. The national forest is under Stage 3 fire restrictions and is closed to public access.
The main areas of the park remain open, including the main campground, the group picnic area and the boat ramp. Anglers can still launch boats onto the reservoir. Two yurts are available to rent. Fishing is allowed from the dam along the remainder of the shoreline on the south side of the reservoir.

This forecast is up 5 percent from the May 1 forecast and 1 percent above the 86.86 million bushel crop produced last year. Estimated acreage for harvest, at 2.20 million acres, is unchanged from May 1 and 180,000 acres more than the 2.02 million acres harvested in 2017.

I think it was a mistake to call this movie “Ocean’s 8”. The modern-era “Ocean’s” series began in 2001 with “Ocean’s Eleven”, then went to “Ocean’s Twelve” in 2004, and then to “Ocean’s Thirteen” in 2007. Now the franchise is being relaunched with a female-led cast and a problematic title. 8 is about 73% of 11, and it just makes me think of the gender pay gap, which is usually reported to be around 75%. Without giving too much away, this team has enough unofficial members that “Ocean’s Fourteen” would not have been an unreasonable title.
I am a 70-year-old grandmother. I am 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weigh 145 pounds. My daughter badgers me to lose weight. She says I should weigh 125 pounds. I think I look fine, and I feel good. What is your professional opinion?
