The Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve in Colorado's San Luis Valley has closed following pressure from health officials to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
(The Center Square) – Coloradans deserve more support from the federal COVID-19 relief legislation that was passed in recent weeks to jump-start pandemic recovery, according to a joint statement signed by Democratic Governor Jared Polis and U.S. Senators Cory Gardner, R-CO, and Michael Bennet, D-CO.
Starting Monday, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment will take unemployment benefit applications under the CARES act, paying an additional $600 per week.
Workers at critical business are now required to wear face masks in Colorado to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Todd visited several other countries and locations within the United States throughout his life, with his walk with God coming to an end Monday evening, April 13, 2020. Todd no longer walks with the Lord, for he is dancing with Him forever more.

A memorial service for lifelong Lamar resident Larry J. Lusher will be held at a later date.
Per Larry’s request cremation will take place.
Larry was born June 4, 1947, at Lamar to Philip J. and Jewel Alene (McCall) Lusher, and passed away April 12, 2020, at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs with his family by his side.
The Kiowa County Public Library District (KCPLD) will remain closed to the public for the duration of the “Stay-at-Home” order set forth by Governor Polis on March 25, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
