The Kiowa County Commissioners regular meeting was called to order by Chairman Richard Scott on June 11, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. Scott opened the meeting with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Those in attendance were:

• Richard Scott, Chairman
• Donald Oswald, Commissioner
• Howard "Butch" Robertson, Commissioner
• Delisa Weeks, County Clerk
• Tina Adamson, County Administrator

Robertson moved and Oswald seconded the motion to approve the minutes as presented. Motion carried.

Delta and Mesa counties in western Colorado have received a USDA disaster designation due to freezing conditions in April this year.

Colorado’s Drought Task Force and Phase 2 of the State Drought Mitigation and Response Plan were activated this week as drought conditions deepen.

While extreme drought was stable in Colorado this week, moderate and severe conditions continued to advance in the northeast portion of the state.
