Dud’s been working on his novel, “Murder in the Soggy Bottoms,” for several years now, and it has taken on different blends of seasoning, largely depending on what things were happening here in our little valley.

Community Invited to Share Input Regarding Willow Creek Nature Trail
January 25, Lamar Community College will be hosting a stakeholder planning meeting regarding improvements to a portion of the Willow Creek Nature Trail that sits on its property. The meeting will be held from 5:30-7:00pm in the Large Lecture Hall of LCC’s Bowman Building; all in the community are invited to attend.
“We are lucky to have such a unique outdoor space on our property, and we are excited about improving it for the benefit of our students and the community.” said Sean Lirley, Director of Facilities.

Frostbite and hypothermia are cold-related emergencies that may quickly become life or limb threatening. Preventing cold-related emergencies can be as simple as not starting an activity in, on or around cold water unless you know you can get help quickly in an emergency.
