Dear Dietitian – Changing Diet After a Heart Attack?
I had a heart attack about six weeks ago, which required bypass surgery. While in the hospital, I was bombarded by different professionals who instructed me to quit smoking, stop using salt, and change my diet to low fat/low cholesterol. I was very overwhelmed after major surgery that I only remember about half of what I was told. I have managed to stop smoking but haven’t gotten to the diet change yet. Can you help?

Movie Reivew - A Wrinkle in Time
Last week I reviewed “Red Sparrow,” a spy movie with a typical spy movie plot. All of the characters had their own agenda, loyalties kept flip-flopping around, and there was a lot of confusion over who could and couldn’t be trusted. The plot of that movie was way easier to follow than that of “A Wrinkle in Time,” the new kids’ movie from Disney.

East End Events
Did you remember to turn your clocks forward when you went to bed Saturday night? I believe several people forgot as our church members were on the small side Sunday morning.
Southeast Colorado was well represented at the state basketball tournament this past week. Congratulations to the Kit Carson Lady Wildcats on their Championship title; the Kim/Branson Ladies and the South Baca Boys teams on their second-place titles.
Missing Ohio Teen Found in Eads
The Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office is investing a case in which an Ohio teenager was found at a home in Eads.
KCSO was contacted last Wednesday by the Mount Vernon Police Department about an unidentified female who was thought to be en route to Eads in a black semi-truck. The truck was located at a home in the town, and the male driver, who has not been identified, was contacted. The missing teen was also at the home.
Agencies across southeast Colorado also assisted in attempting to locate the truck.

“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.” I Corinthians 15:7 I encourage you to say to several people every day “I love you.” It could be the last time you get to share your love in that way. I know that from experience.
